Jet2holidays top tips for travelling with babies

  • Our number-one, golden rule is to always look out for our friendly Red Team – they'll be there to help with whatever you need, whenever!
  • Avoid the hustle and bustle if you can travel in the quieter months, outside the school holidays.
  • Make sure you have plenty of time to check in and get through security. Doing this sooner will save any rushing around.
  • Look on your airport’s website before travelling in case you have to pre-book a priority family lane.
  • Don’t worry about the 100ml liquid limit – you can pre-make up milk to take on the plane, but you may be asked to test it at security.
  • Want to heat up milk onboard? Ask our Cabin Crew. It’s worth using your own container for powder in case all we have on the plane is hot water.
  • Pre-order medicines and formula online to pick up at airport pharmacies.
  • Don’t forget to pack lots of high-factor sun cream to keep harmful rays at bay!
  • Check with your hotel about cot availability, if they’re too young for full-sized beds.
  • Grab food from our handy onboard menu to beat airport queues for drinks and snacks.
  • Buy nappies and other easy-to-source items for babies in the resort to save suitcase space.
  • You can check car seats up to 10kg into the hold for free. For anything over that, see our FAQs for details.
  • Pool day in mind? You can take travel cots down there with you. Aaand relax.

Reassurance, every step of the way

On top of the standard 22kg baggage and 10kg hand luggage included, you’ll have an extra 10kg luggage allowance for baby and toddler equipment. You can take pushchairs from check-in to security and right up to the plane, then speak to our Red Team about bringing them to the doors when you land. They’ll otherwise be waiting on the baggage reclaim carousel. Easy-peasy!

And get this...

We created a #Jet2FirstFlightClub hashtag for our Jet2juniors certificates, so that you can feel part of the action on social media! Something to keep in mind if you end up posting some snaps while you’re away.

Feeling baby-travel-ready? Great! We can’t wait to welcome you onboard and in-resort.
